In the early years of the Delta Gamma alumnae association the meetings were held in various members homes. Founders Day was often a covered dish dinner and then later catered at the home of Rose Brown. The summer couples picnic was held at the home of Jayne and Tom Hagan. The couples Christmas party was held for years at the home of Jean and Dr. Jack Harris and later at the home of Nyla & Tim Villager. |

In 1971-1972 there were enough dues paying members that the Nashville alumnae association became a chapter. This entitled our president to attend, and vote at international conventions. Also the major expenses for her attendance were paid by Delta Gamma from the dues paid to Executive Offices by alumnae and collegiate members. Nyla Villager attended convention that year as president and Rose Brown attended as Province Collegiate Chairman for our area. |

Alumnae members of Delta Gamma gathered at the home of Rosie Brown on Sedberry Road for the Founders Day banquet. On hand was Ruth Mulvihill of Kent, Ohio, national vice president of alumnae affairs, who stopped off in Nashville for this special occasion. After dinner she spoke to the group on activities of the alumnae and collegiate chapters across the country. Jayne Hagan and Frances Bass, charter members of the Nashville alumnae chapter, were presented yellow roses in recognition of their services for the chapter's 25th anniversary. |
